Jamia Hamdard UGC BSR Fellowships

The Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi is inviting applications for the UGC-BSR research fellowships with the objective to create opportunities for the meritorious candidates who are desirous to undertake research in the fields of metabolic department: engineering of plant metabolites and proteomics based biomarkers. The Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi is holding this walk-in in the mid of April for the candidates who wish to take up research in the career path which leads them to achieve their aspirations.

The Jamia Hamdard was started on an establishment of a Unani clinic in the year 1906 and continued to show the Indian civilisation the various benefits of Unani system of medicines.

Eligibility Criteria for the UGC BSR fellowships

The eligibility criteria for the above mentioned fellowship at Jamia Hamdard is given below.

1.       The candidate should be M.Sc in Biotechnology/Life Sciences/Biosciences/Biochemistry with a minimum academic score of 55percentile or equivalent grade of score.

2.       The candidate should have registered for a PhD programme to avail the UGC fellowships.

3.       The candidates who have already applied with the Jamia Hamdard for the PhD programme in the department of Biotechnology are also eligible to appear for the Interview.

4.       The candidates are also required to have the desired qualification of UGC-NET/GATE.

How to Apply

The applications are to be submitted in hard copy in any case whatsoever. The applications which are not submitted through proper channel will not be entertained in any case or circumstance.

There is a note to the candidates as well who are applying for the fellowship. The candidates who have not been selected through the interview process for the research position will have no records left at the campus record section after three months.

The applications should be enclosed with the recently updated bio-data and to be given to the Dean, Faculty of Science at the board room. The candidates are required to be present by 2.00 pm there at the venue. An advance copy of the application form with the credentials can be sent to the Co-ordinator SAP, Department of Biotechnology at acherian@jamiahamdard.ac.in.

Hiring Process

The hiring process for the above mentioned fellowship is a walk-in. The walk-in are scheduled to be conducted on a specific date in the middle of April every year. The students and scholars will be notified about the results in the next few weeks.

The interview process is scheduled to be on 22^nd April, 2014 at 2.30 pm noon.

Number of fellowships

The number of fellowships being awarded to the students is around four. These four UGC-BSR fellowships help the candidates to take up research in their career path.
