WIT Indian ‘Wicket Scholarships in Ireland

Details
The Waterford Institute of Technology is
pleased to announce the scholarships known as ‘WIT Indian Wicket scholarships’
in Ireland for the Indian students who wish to pursue higher education in
Ireland. The scholarships are for the students who have completed their 12th
standard or any undergraduate degree from a recognised school board/recognised
university in India. If the candidate is appearing for the postgraduate course
eligibility, he/she should have pursued their undergraduate study from a
recognised university in India, recognised by the University Grants Commission.
The University at Ireland is also accepting
offers of study from some of the private institutions which are of high
reputation and top ranking in India. The scholarships are meant to assist the
students in terms of financial need. The diversity of students present in a
university from various parts of the world is part of the international
collaboration and bringing high calibre students under one roof, thus becoming
a part of international strategy for growth. This year, WIT Ireland is
particularly interested in roping high calibre Indian students to join them
with a limited number of scholarships.
Eligibility
criteria for the WIT Indian Wicket scholarships
The candidate should satisfy the below
given eligibility criteria to avail the fellowship/scholarship for the study at
the WIT university at Ireland.
1.
The candidate should have successfully
completed 12th from a high school and under-graduation from a
recognised university from a reputed university in India, both with a minimum
average of 68%.
2.
The candidate should provide an
evidence of English language proficiency or an equivalent exam with an overall
band score of at least 6.5 or more.
3.
The Master’s degree programme
at the WIT University, Ireland can be availed by the candidates only if they
have no backlogs in the 3rd and 4th year of study.
4.
The candidate should
demonstrate relevant work experience if they are willing to take up the
master’s degree programme at the WIT university. ( especially, if the candidate
has a considerable gap between finishing their graduation and the time applying
for the Master’s programme at the WIT University, Ireland)

The Course Level for which the scholarships
are announced are both undergraduate level and Master’s level.
Scholarship
value and coverage
The WIT University is offering dedicated
but limited number of scholarships for the Indian students which cover 50
percent of the Tuition fee for a Master’s degree program. If the candidate is
availing undergraduate degree program, the scholarship covers about 25 percent
of the tuition fee each year.
Last
date to submit the scholarship forms and personal statement
The last date for the scholarships to be
submitted falls on the 30th may, 2014.
