CFHI Partial Scholarships for International Students

Introduction to the scholarship

 

The Child family Health International (CFHI) is pleased to offer partial scholarships to the international students to pursue any 4-12 week CFHI global health education programme. These scholarships are dedicated to the students who are interested in the global health education programme. Out of all these scholarships, one scholarship is dedicated to the CFHI’s sight for all ophthalmology rotation in New Delhi, one for CFHI’s dentistry and oral health in Quito, Ecuador program and one for the AMSA member. The CFHI is committed globally in eradicating inequities and working toward the progress. 

The recipients of the program are responsible for the remaining balance of the CFHI program fees. The recipients are responsible for their own airfare. The scholarships are available for the programmes during the following months of January, February, march, April, May, June, August, September, October, November, and December. Around ten scholarships are provided for the program.     

Scholarship provider

The scholarship is provided by the Child Family Health International (CFHI) to the interested candidates in the CFHI’s global health education programs. 

Scholarship duration

The scholarships are offered for a period of 4 to 12 weeks according to the program requirements. 

Scholarship coverage

The scholarship covers the partial program fees of the amount US$1000 towards the CFHI program.  Some partial scholarships may also amount to US$500 to US$1000. 

Eligibility criteria

CFHI is committed in selecting a pool of candidates who are in line with the mission and vision of the CFHI. The candidate has to satisfy the following eligibility criteria to avail the above mentioned scholarship. 

1.       The students who demonstrate a strong commitment towards their communities and an interest in exchanging ideas and sharing experiences with people in Ecuador, Bolivia, India, Mexico, and South Africa.

2.       The priority is given to the candidates who have never gone for abroad opportunities and to the people of ethnicity under-represented in CFHI programs.

3.       The candidates interested in attending a CFHI program during the specified program month/year and who are financially able to pay the remaining program fees along with the airfare are encouraged to apply.

4.       The applicants who wish to attend any CFHI program in Latin America must meet the language eligibility criteria listed for that particular program.

The mode of application is through post. 

Selection

The CFHI selection committee will use the written statements of the candidates as the primary source of selection of the scholarship recipients.

Notification

The scholars will be notified by the end of July for the August-December intake, by the end of December for the January intake, by the Month of February for the may-June intake and July for the August- September intake for the net academic year.
