KSCSTE Thiruvananthapuram Post Doctoral Fellowship

The KSCSTE (Kerala state council for science, technology and engineering) is pleased to invite applications from research scholars and candidates who aspire to become scientists for the post doctoral fellowship of KSCSTE which is known to be an autonomous body of the Government of Kerala. The objectives of the post doctoral fellowship are to motivate the candidates to pursue the PhD programme in the relevant subjects and start a career as scientists. The candidates can learn more from the post doctoral fellowship paving them to publish high quality research publications in known and reputed journals. The scholarship allows the candidates to develop technical and professional leadership skills and thereby become lifelong researchers and learners.

Scholarship Details

The post doctoral fellowship (PDF) is an opportunity to the candidates holding PhD degree in the relevant subjects to develop their career with high quality research developments and prove to become scientists of high calibre with this two years full time research fellowship.

Eligibility criteria

The eligibility criteria for the above mentioned fellowship is given below.

1.       The candidates applying for the fellowship should be residents of Kerala by birth or by domicile.

2.        The candidates should not be more than 40 years as on the date of January 01, 2014 at the time of application.

3.       The candidate should hold the degree of PhD at the time of the application.

4.       The candidate should have at least three research publications in a SCI (science citation indexed) Journal published to his/her credit.

Scholarship amount

Each Post doctoral fellow is awarded the fellowship with an amount of 25,000 per month for the entire two years. The candidates are also eligible for the annual contingent grant of 50,000 rupees per month and 10% HRA.  

The candidate is allowed to do the post doctoral research work in any of the university/institution/college in the country other than the place of Institution he/she has don his PhD work.

Duration of the fellowship

The duration of the fellowship is for two years which helps the Post doctoral fellow to learn more in the relevant area of interest and gain knowledge on the relevant subject. The duration of the fellowship helps you to gain more learning edge over various things such as leadership skills and research oriented learning lading you to a career of high-quality research.

Number of fellowships

The total number of fellowships comes to around ten for the candidates who hold the degree of PhD.

The candidate is requested to apply for the above mentioned post of research fellow with the application in the prescribed format with copies of certificates, educational qualifications, age proof, trainings attended, achievements and publications etc. The application should have the emailing address, email contact and phone contact number of the candidate.
