details
The applications for junior research
fellowship in anaerobic digestion are invited from the students for the 2014
intake by Centre of research excellence in waste, water and energy , BITS
Pilani. The scholarship is being provided by the Centre of research excellence
in waste, water and energy, BITS Pilani. The title of the project is ‘Anaerobic
co-digestion of food waste and organic fraction of municipal solid waste for
the production of biogas and concomitant use of biogas as fuel for cooking and
spent slurry as fertilizer’.
Fellowship
Amount
The fellowship amount provided for the JRF
position will be consolidated Rs.16000 per month for the first two years and
around Rs.18000 per month for the third year. The fellowship position is
temporary and has to be renewed every year, according to the terms and
conditions.
Number
of Fellowships awards and duration of the year
The number of fellowships awarded every
year is one fellowship. The duration of the year is for three years. The
fellowship is for the first year and is only extended to the next two years if
the student’s/scholar’s performance is satisfactory.
Eligibility
Criteria
The eligibility criteria for the candidate
to apply for the scholarship/fellowship are given below. The candidate must
satisfy any one of the following criteria to be eligible for the following
fellowship.

M.E/M.Tech in chemical
engineering/ bioprocess technology/ biotechnology/ biochemical engineering/environmental
engineering
2.
M.Sc in Biotechnology/Life
sciences/Biosciences
3.
M.Phil in Biotechnology/Life
Sciences/Biosciences
Desired
Qualification for the fellowship
The desired
qualification of the candidate for the fellowship are given below
1.
The candidate should have
passed UGC JRF or CSIR.
2.
The candidate should have outstanding
skill set in anaerobic digestion of organic wastes. Hands-on experience on the
same would be appreciated.
