Junior Research Fellowship at Birla Institute of Technology and Science in India

The BITS campus, shortly known for Birla Institute of Technology and Science is one of the leading Indian private universities providing high quality Higher education and Research opportunities for the students and scholars who wish to pursue their education at BITS. The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) PIlani campus and Hyderabad campus are inviting applications from the motivated and intelligent candidates to pursue Research in the form of Junior Research Fellow in DST Funded projects funded by the BITS campus.



The scholarship Offered Post
The posts for which the scholarships are offered are for Research positions. The DST funded projects are being given to the scholars and students who wish to pursue research in their interested field can do so by applying for the Junior Research Fellowship post.

Fellowship Amount offered
The fellowship for various research projects varies from project to project and the department that is offering the scholarship. The various departments at BITS campus which are offering their scholarship is given below. The scholarship amount varies from INR 16,000 to INR 20,000.

Fellowship by Department of Chemical Engineering
The department of chemical engineering is offering the fellowship for a scholarship amount of 16,000 per month to carry out research on the project sponsored by the Government of India titled ‘Biofuels from lignocellulosic biomass waste: Biosolubilization and biomethanation of lignin’. The duration of the project is 3 years.

The eligibility criterion is listed in the website. The applications should be enclosed with educational qualifications, published research papers and research experience on or before 1st July, 2014.

Fellowship by the Department of Chemistry
The department of chemistry of offering one post for the Junior Research fellow for the DST funded project titled Towards metalloneurochemistry inside a niosome: a fluorescence spectroscopy approach’. The fellow should be masters in Applied Chemistry along with NET/GATE qualified.

Fellowship by the Department of Civil Engineering
The department of Civil Engineering is offering Senior Research Fellowship post for one single position for the DST funded project titled ‘ IntegratedUrban Flood Management in India: Technology-Driven Solutions’.
