Merit Scholarships at Birkbeck University of London in UK

The Birkbeck University of London in United Kingdom is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the International Office Merit Scholarships. These international scholarships are for the students who have gained an admission for the master’s programme at the Birkbeck University, London. The merit scholarships are meant for the students of the Birkbeck University who would commence their master’s programme the university by September, 2014. The offer for admission for the students should have been obtained by August, 2014.

Scholarship details
The scholarships are merit based scholarships which are unlimited in number for the students who are desirous of pursuing master’s programme at the Birkbeck University of London, United Kingdom. However, the scholarships are exclusively meant for the students who have unconditional offer of study at the Birkbeck University of London, UK for pursuing one year taught Master’s programme at the University. The students who are suitably qualified from Thailand, Vietnam, and India can apply for the above mentioned scholarship. The students if selected will receive a contribution fee of 2000 pounds towards the tuition fee for the Master’s programme they have chosen.


Scholarship fee
The scholarship fee for the above mentioned scholarship is around 2000 pounds towards the cost of tuition cost of the master’s programme the candidate has chosen to study at the university.

How to apply
No formal criterion is available for applying for the above mentioned scholarship. The students who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the International Merit Office scholarship will be considered for it automatically.  

Eligibility Criteria
The criteria of eligibility for the above mentioned scholarship is given below. The students from Thailand, Vietnam, and India can apply or eligible for the above scholarship.

Thailand based candidates- The candidates from Thailand should be holding a Bachelor’s degree for pursuing Master’s degree from a recognised Thai university with a minimum score of 3.3 GPA or higher. 

Vietnam based candidates – The candidates from Vietnam should be holding bachelor’s degree from a recognised Vietnamese university with a minimum score of 7.5 GPA or higher for pursuing a course at a Master’s level with the university.

India based candidates – The candidates from India should be holding Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with a 70% or higher in the final grade for pursuing the course at Master’s level with the university.
