Aichi Scholarship Program for Asian Students in Japan
The Aichi Prefectural Government International Affairs is inviting
application from the graduate level students of Asian countries to pursue
research for 6 months or master’s course student as 2 years. The applicants
have to study a subject pertinent in the Aichi’s manufacturing industry. The
candidates who have finished these programs are expected to seek employment
with in the regions of Aichi. The applicants should apply during the period of
March-May, 2014.
Eligibility criteria
The candidate has to satisfy the below eligibility criteria to
avail the scholarship.
1. The applicants must hold the citizenship for the any of the given
Asian countries. They are Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, East Timor, India,
Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, South
Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, The Philippines, and
Cambodia.
2. The candidates must be below the age of 35 years as on April 1,
2014.
3. The candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
4. The applicant should have studied a subject pertinent in support
of the Aichi’s manufacturing industry.
5. The applicants should have a good knowledge about the Japanese
language to study the research programs and seek employment with in Aichi.
6. The applicants should not be holding any other scholarships from
other organisations.
7. The applicant should be admitted as a research student in one of
the Aichi’s universities from the period of October 2014 to March 2015. The
applicants should also register themselves for the national health insurance
system.
Study subjects
The scholarship grant is for the subjects that are pertinent and
widely supported at the Aichi’s manufacturing industry.
Course level
The course level is for both research level (6 months) and post
graduate studies (for 2 years).
Scholarship provider
The scholarship is being provided by the Aichi Prefectural
Government International Affairs.
Number of awards
The number of awards is around ten Aichi scholarships.
Duration of the award
The duration of the scholarship is for 6 months (as a research
student) and 2 years (as a post graduate student).
Scholarship coverage
The scholarship covers the student’s living allowance (15,000 Yen
per month), travel allowances, school expenses which covers the entrance
examination fee, tuition fee, entrance fee (research student).
Notification
The notification to the candidates is not known.
How to apply
The applicants must apply via graduate school located in the
Aichi. The documents to be submitted are

3. Academic records issued by the university
4. Certified copy of the passport.
5. Proof of Graduation
6. Recommendations
Application Deadline
The scholarship is to be applied between the months of March-may
2014 in Aichi. The forms should be submitted or handed over the Aichi
Prefectural Government by a recommending organisation by the date of May 16,
2014.
