Dr KS Krishnan Research Associate-ship (KSKRA)
The Dr KS Krishnan Research Associate-ship
is inviting applications for its 25th batch for research programmes in
the field of atomic energy. The research associates (RA) selected for the Dr KS
Krishnan Research Associate-ship programme (KSKRA) programme will be provided
an opportunity to work on R&D programmes that comprise of national
importance. The shortlisted candidates are given an opportunity to work under
some of the prestigious R&D projects in one of the following advanced research
centres of atomic energy field.

Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic
Research (IGCAR), Kalpakkam
2.
Atomic Energy Regulatory Board
(AERB), Mumbai
3.
Bhabha Atomic Research Centre
(BARC), Mumbai
4.
Raja Ramanna Centre for
Advanced Technology (RRCAT), Indore
5.
Variable Energy Cyclotron
Centre (VECC), Kolkata
Scholarship
given for broad areas
The scholarships or associate-ships are
available in the following disciplines. Physical sciences, Biosciences,
Chemical sciences, engineering sciences are the various branches for which the scholarships
are provided.
Number
of scholarships
The number of scholarships per year is around
20 scholarships or associate-ships.
Scholarship
amount
The amount offered for each associate-ship is
26,000 per month along with the other benefits or rules.
Eligibility
Criteria
The minimum educational qualification and
experience level required for the scholarship is given as follows.
All the candidates must have a first class
in Master’s or Bachelor’s degree. All the candidates should provide a list of
publications in support of their R&D experience.
1. Engineers
The engineers who have the
following qualifications
PhD degree for engineering
(those who have submitted their thesis for PhD and are likely to have their
viva finished by the end of July, 2014) are eligible to apply. The candidates
with Master’s degree in Engineering (MS/M.Tech/M.E) and with a 2 year
experience in research and development are also eligible to apply for the
position.
2. Scientists
The scientists who have
the following qualifications
PhD degree in science
(Those who have submitted their thesis for PhD and are likely to have their
viva finished by the end of July, 2014)
Duration
of the scheme
The duration of the scheme is up to a
maximum period of two years. If the research work is found to be satisfactory,
the scholars will be absorbed in any of the DAE’s R&D units. Such
candidates will b absorbed in the grade of Engineer-D and E/Scientific officer.

Interested candidates are required to fill
the soft copy of the application form (the format has to be prescribed as such)
along with all the documents as well as Annexures in a single PDF should be

The passport size copy on top right corner of the application is to be
attached.
The application fee is to be processed for
an amount of Rs.500.
