ICSSR Research Investigator Position at VIT University, Vellore

Scholarship description

The applications are invited for the post of research investigator (RI) at the VIT University, Vellore. The school of social sciences and languages at the VIT University is offering the scholarship. The applicant should hold a MA in either in English or Linguistics.

The application has the following position which has the ICSSR sponsored research project ‘Motivation to learn English as Second Language and Language Learning Strategies used by the rural population of India’ at the School of social sciences and linguistics, at VIT University,Vellore.

The project director is Dr.Shahila Zafar, Assistant Professor (Senior), School of Social Sciences and Languages, VIT University, Vellore-632014, Tamil Nadu.

The Co project director is Dr. Zaved Ahmed Khan, Assistant Professor (Senior), School of Biosciences and Technology VIT University, Vellore-632014, Tamil Nadu. The course level is known to be at research position level.

Eligibility criteria

The candidate should satisfy the following criteria for the above mentioned position.

The candidate should have done/possess a post graduate degree of MA either in English or Linguistics.

Scholarship Open to International Students

The scholarship is open to only Indian students. The students from India can apply to the research position. The scholarship provider is the Vellore Institute of Technology, VIT,Vellore. The scholarship can only be taken at India.

Number of awards

The number of awards for the above mentioned scholarship is still not known.

Duration of awards

The duration of the research Investigator position at VIT University is around two years. The research position will continue till the next two years until the project gets completed.

Scholarship fee/cover

The scholarship fee for the above mentioned position is around 8000 per month consolidated.
