Scholarship Details

The applications are invited from the candidates for the IDEX Global fellowship program which is intended for six month training in intra-preneurial training across the India. The fellowship is based on the gaining knowledge and experience in emerging market trends with a full time work with a social enterprise after the six month training is finished. The IDEX recruits the Global fellowship members from all corners of the world.

About the Course

The IDEX fellowship course is a six month fellowship programme which will allow the candidate and fellows to work full time with social enterprises (in India) and gain experience on many socially-focused enterprises which deliver high-impact solutions in global and local communities. The full time work is assigned only after the six month Intra-preneur leadership training.

Scholarship/Fellowship Centers

The scholarship can be taken at the following centers. Currently, it offers three fellowship sites namely Mumbai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad. These are the three available centers across India.

Eligibility criteria

The candidates to avail the fellowship are required to satisfy the following eligibility criteria.

1.        The candidates must be graduates/post graduates ( BA/BS/BBA must be obtained prior to the beginning of the program)

2.       Good English fluency( both written and spoken)

3.       The candidate must have minimum professional work experience (1 to 3 years)

4.       The candidate must be legally authorized to work in India for the next six months. (IDEX will be able to provide the process of business visa application too)

5.       The candidate should be able to deliver the work under high pressure conditions.

6.       Good listening skills and communication skills.

Scholarship Open to international students

The scholarship is open to mostly all the international students. IDEX recruits candidates from all corners of the world.

Scholarship amount

The IDEX fellows will receive a modest monthly stipend of $85 to $125USD per month towards the cost of the living expenses. It should be noted that these living expenses are provided to cover the monthly expenses and not to be based on all the esteemed monthly living expenses. Also the portion of the stipend is based on the city of placement.

The housing accommodation is also provided to the candidates and fellows by the IDEX social entrepreneur and program staff.

Duration of the scholarship

The duration of the scholarship program is around six month program.

How to apply

The candidates have to send in their applications through online mode only. The applicants have to go through two different application phases.

The selection process is highly competitive. The application forms will be open for the January 2015 intake from July 15^th, 2014.

Last date to apply for the scholarship

The last date for the IDEX scholarship application submission is on 31^st August, 2014 for the January 2015 entry intakes.
