Scholarship Details

The Inlaks-Shivadasani foundation is proving the scholarships for the young Indian students with exceptional talent in any subject of study to improve and broaden their vision making the young lads to become the future leaders to bring in the change in their environment and country. The candidates are advised to guarantee the external funding for scholarship requirements above $85,000 or equivalent.

Study level

The study subjects can be anything except for the following subjects namely Medicine, Engineering sciences, Business studies, Public health, Music and film animation, Computer science, Fashion design etc.

Course level

The scholarships are of two types. They are university courses and specific programs (research, professional improvement to be carried out abroad either independently, and training or attached to a top leading institution which is may not be leading to a degree)

The scholarship provider for the above said programs is Inlaks-Shivadasani Foundation.  

Scholarship can be taken at

The scholarships are provided for the above said programs and can b taken at top American universities, UK and European universities.

Scholarship is Open for the

The scholarship can be taken at the top most American, European and UK universities by the Indian students only.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates have to satisfy the eligibility criteria in order to avail the scholarship.

1.       The scholarships are open to Indian citizens only.

2.       The candidate is required to have good first class degree from a recognised university outside India.

3.       The candidates who have started/currently doing their post-graduation outside India are not eligible.

4.       The candidates must be below the age of 30 years for the particular year of application.

5.       The candidate who are currently employed, have award of other grants or have teaching assistantships are eligible for the scholarship. The foundation considers these things as positive factors.

Scholarship value

The scholarship covers the tuition fees, adequate expenses for living and travel, and one-way travel. The candidates must specify and demonstrate guaranteed funding for the scholarship requirements of $85,000(or equivalent). The candidates will have a direct discussion about the financial coverage with the providers if in case of specific programs.

The acceptance of other scholarships, part-time jobs and teaching assistantships are also welcome after the approval of the above said scholarships. The scholarships are not awarded to those who require frequent trips to India to and fro to finish the proposed course of study during the tenure. The scholarships are for the session of the September/October.

How to apply

The applications are to be sent via post along with certain documents.

1.       Evidence of admission to a university

2.       Self-addressed envelope

3.       Evidence of outstanding achievements and extracurricular activities.

4.       Copies of Certificates are not required as they are needed while the candidates are being interviewed.

Application deadline

The application deadline for the scholarship is 15^th April, 2014.
