Junior Research Fellowship for Indian Applicants at VIT University

The School of Bio Sciences at the VIT University is offering junior research fellowships for the candidates who have finished the M.Sc / M.Tech in Life sciences/Bioinformatics/Biotechnology/Biochemistry. The scholarship/fellowship is exclusively meant for the candidates who have taken up Biotechnology or related areas in the graduation and post graduation level.

There are many other junior research fellowships on offer from the VIT University for interested, motivated students who are willing to take up research as their career. Thee department of Biotechnology (DBT) at the VIT university is offering sponsored research projects for such qualified candidates at the VIT university.

The VIT University is accredited by the UGC, NBA, IEI.

Eligibility criteria

The candidate has to satisfy the following eligibility criteria to avail the below scholarship.

1.       The candidate must have M.Sc/M.Tech in Life Sciences/Bio Technology/Bioinformatics/Bio-Chemistry.

2.       The candidates with research experience and those who qualified NET/GATE are mostly preferred for this junior research fellowship.

Study subjects

The theme or the project title for the fellowship is known to be ‘Enhancement of psychotropic effects of tea L-theanine using nanotechnology and its molecular mechanism’.

Course level

The fellowship is for the candidates who wish to take up the research project at the School of Bio-Sciences at the VIT University.

Scholarship Provider

The scholarship provider is the VIT University.

Scholarship Open for all International Students

The scholarship is open for the citizens of India only. NO other country is eligible for this particular junior research fellowship.

Number of awards

The fellowship award is only on junior research fellowship.

Duration of awards

The junior research fellowship lasts for the period of three years. The duration of the project is around 3 years.

Scholarship cover

The scholarship amount for the junior research fellows is around 16,000 per month plus 10% HRA  which comes close to RS.17,600 per month.

The stipend is provided to the junior research fellows for the entire period of three years, very month.
