The University of Glasgow is offering scholarships to learn any of the courses offered at the university except clinical courses. The scholarships are provided to the students to study post graduate programmes at the University of Glasgow from the regions of Brazil, Ghana, Taiwan, India, Indonesia, Canada, Egypt, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and USA. 

Eligibility criteria for the Country scholarships for Postgraduate students in UK

The candidates has to satisfy the below eligibility criteria to avail the scholarship at the University of Glasgow. 

1.       The applicants must possess an equivalent of upper second class honours degree.

2.       The applicants should belong to the following countries to avail the scholarship namely Brazil, Ghana, Taiwan, India, Indonesia, Canada, Egypt, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and USA.

Study subjects

The scholarships are provided to the students who wish to pursue any of the post graduate programmes and courses offered at the University of Glasgow.

Course level

The course level for the scholarships provided is the post graduate programmes at the University of Glasgow.  

Number of awards

The University of Glasgow is offering 40 scholarships for the students who wish to pursue postgraduate programmes across each of the four colleges. The scholarships will be offered to the students as a tuition fee discount. A maximum of 5 scholarships are provided for each country. The courses may be any of them offered at the university except for the clinical courses. 

Duration of awards

The duration of the scholarship award is not known. 

Scholarship amount/coverage

The University of Glasgow will award a total of 40 scholarships for the postgraduate programmes worth £5000 across each of the 4 colleges. These scholarships are awarded as the tuition fee discount. As mentioned already, a maximum of 5 awards are given to each of the country.

The selection criteria and the notification are both not known to the candidate. 

How to apply

The scholarships awarded for the post graduate programmes must be applied through online mode only. The applicants are expected to submit a 400 word length statement describing about how they satisfy the eligibility criteria, how useful the scholarship will be and how they can manage achieving their future goals. 

The applicants are advised to look into the application guidelines for students. The 400 word length statement should be submitted along with the application form to help get selected for the scholarship. All the applications should reach the university before the deadline mentioned.
