Australian National University Bhati Family Research Travel Grant to India




 Introduction to the Scholarship

The Australian National University is pleased to offer Bhati family travel grant for the candidate who wish to undertake research in the university wide field in Australia. The output of the research facility will contribute to a better understanding and knowledge of any aspect of Australia in India or any aspect of India in Australia. The grant is eligible to the students of Australia. The total offer of scholarship is $2330 which is to be revised every year. The grant is to assist the candidates with airfares and travel allowances for carrying out research. The grant assists the students of the Australian National University from any discipline to conduct research for which they will b required to travel to India.

The main objective of the grant is to provide the students with a better understanding of any aspect of Australia in India and a better understanding of India in Australia. The scholarship is meant for the Australian university students to pursue research in India. The grant is to assist the candidates with research travel grants for the airfares and travel expenses along with the research undertakings in India. The selection of the candidates is based entirely on the candidate’s academic merit and performance in the research. Scholarship Duration

The scholarship is offered for a period of one year. The scholarship recipient should be enrolled and remain enrolled in a full time or part time basis in an undergraduate, graduate coursework or research program at the Australian National University with the proposed travel for the grant.  

Scholarship Coverage

The total grant is $2330 which is to be revised each year. The grant assists the candidates with airfares and actual expenses related to the travel.

Eligibility criteria

The candidate has to satisfy the following eligibility criteria to undertake research in India. 
  1. The candidate must be able to demonstrate the travel to India is necessary to the undertaking of research programme.
  2. The result of the research conducted will provide the candidate with the better understanding of any aspect of the Australia in India and better understanding of India in Australia.
