Challenge Yourself India Scholarship Competition in Sweden

The Chalmers University and Linkoping University are offering ‘Challenge Yourself India Scholarship’ competition for the citizens of India to pursue a Master’s degree programme in Communication engineering and systems, control and Mechatronics at Chalmers university of technology. The candidates will be asked for the English language proficiency. The candidates have a full tuition fee waiver for the two years master’s program. The M.Sc scholarship covers the full tuition fee waiver, all domestic travel expenses and accommodation fee covered for the two years by the competition providers, winner’s certificate and application fee waiver. 

The Chalmers University of Technology is one of the largest Sweden’s highly acclaimed universities of technology with around 11000 students and 2500 employees. The academic environment at the university has started out from a close relationship between the industry and the society. 

Study subjects

The scholarship is provided in the field of communication engineering and systems, statistics and data mining and communication systems, Control and Mechatronics. 

Course level

The scholarship is for pursuing the master’s program at the Linkoping or Chalmers University.

Eligibility criteria

The candidate has to satisfy the below eligibility criteria to avail the scholarship. 

Linkoping University has the following eligibility criteria.

1.       The candidate should hold a 3 year old bachelor’s degree without honours will not satisfy the entry requirements for a Master’s degree.

2.       A letter of intent in English as to how the study programme will benefit the candidate.

3.       The average grade should not less than third grade. 

Chalmers University of technology

1.       The candidate should hold a 4 year bachelor of engineering course.

2.       IELTS score at least 6.5

3.       TOEFL score 575.

Scholarship applicable to

The scholarship is applicable to the Indian candidates only.  

Number of awards

The details for the number of awards are one full tuition fee waiver for a Master’s degree programme either at Chalmers or Linkoping’s University. 

Duration of awards

The duration of the scholarship is for a period of two full years for the Master’s degree programme. 

Scholarship amount

The scholarships are provided for the full tuition fee waiver for the Master’s degree programme at the Chalmers University or Linkoping’s university. 

Selection criteria

The student’s competition is held in which approximately 40 finalists are selected. The participating universities will decide the nomination of the candidate completely. No election or voting procedures are done to elect the candidate. 

Notification

The winners will be announced by the end of December. The winning candidate has to start the course by the autumn of the academic year.
