Charles Wallace India Trust Scholarship for Indian Students in UK

The Charles Wallace India trust is pleased to offer tem long term scholarships for the early mid career practitioners in arts and heritage conservation in the United Kingdom for the Indian students. These scholarships are for initially for a period of three months up to a maximum of on year of duration assisting the students with living costs, accommodation, fees and a contribution to the international fares too. The scholarships are eligible to the Indian candidates alone. The students are eligible for the IELTS candidature. 

Study subjects

The study subjects are Arts and heritage conservation, music, management, History of art, geography, firm studies, environment studies, cinema and society.

The scholarships are provided by the Charles Wallace India trust.

Eligibility criteria

The candidate has to satisfy the below mentioned eligibility criteria for the students to avail the scholarship.

1.       The applicant must be an Indian citizen living in India
2.       The applicant should be in the age group of 28 to 38 years of age.
3.        The applicant should have a first degree, diploma or any of the professional qualification.
4.       Preference will be given to the students who have significant work experience.
5.       The candidate should not have received any grant from the CWIT in the last five years. 

Scholarship applicable to

The Indian candidates are legible to apply for the scholarship. 

Number of awards

Every year, the candidates are given the opportunity to apply for the scholarships. The number of awards is around 10 term scholarships.  

Duration of awards

The scholarships initially are designed for about three months which may be extended for a maximum period of one year.

Scholarship coverage

The scholarship covers the following for the students who are inmate for the scholarship.
The scholarship covers the living costs, accommodation in the UK, fees and a contribution towards the international fares. 

Notification

The applicants will be invited for an interview conducted by the British council in Delhi once they are shortlisted on the basis of their applications. The panel for the interview will be set up by the Charles Wallace India Trust (CWIT). The results of the interview will b announced the end of the year. 

How to apply

The mode of application is through electronically.

1.       The application form should include a statement of purpose stating the course being undertaken, what are the plans for the future in the UK, and how the candidate has to go on implementing this in the future in UK. (not more than 2 papers)
2.       An IELTS certificate
3.       Portfolio submission
4.       The applicants are shortlisted on the basis of their applications and will be interviewed by the  panel conducted by the British council at Delhi.
