IC4HD Human Development (HD) Fellowships for Developing Countries at IIAS in India
Introduction
of the scholarship
The International centre for human
development is inviting applications for the IC4HD fellowships from the
students belonging to the developing countries to encourage mid career
professionals (academics, civil servants, civil service practitioners) for the
duration of the 3 months. The providers have given out up to seven fellowships
on the theme of social security in the south in the year 2013. The fellowships
are provided to the candidates from Asia pacific region only. The candidate
fellows will receive about US$3000 pr month for availing the fellowship.

The fellowship is provided by the
International centre for human development in association with Indian institute
of advanced study (IIAS), ministry of human resource development and United Nations
development Programme (UNDP).
Scholarship
coverage
The candidate selected will be provided
with US$3000 per month as fellowship amount. The selected candidate will
receive fully furnished residential accommodation at IIAS, return airfare to
the country of residence and the living expenses during the fellowship tenure.
The fellowship also covers the fellow with an amount of US$1000 for attending a
conference/short term course which is related to the course theme.

The fellowship is of the duration of three
months.
Eligibility
criteria
The candidate with the below eligibility
criteria are eligible to avail the fellowship.
1.
The candidate must be a citizen
of Asia-Pacific region.
2.
The candidate must be less than
45 years of age.
3.
The candidate should have 5 to
8 years of relevant work experience.
4.
The candidate should not be UN
staff member or candidate fellow/staff from the Indian institute of advanced
study (IIAS).
Application
process
All the applicants whose native language is
not English are expected to write and talk fluently in English. The applicants
are required to complete a formal application in English which include the
following.

The summary statement of the
objective of the proposal
3.
Curriculum
vitae of the candidate.
4.
Project proposal should not
exceed 1000 words and should not contain the field work details and data
collection.
5.
Two references of the candidate
(both email and contact number should be provided). One of the referees should
b the current supervisor.

Selection
The candidate will be shortlisted on the
basis of the blow selection criteria.

The candidate’s educational
qualification, post graduate degree is desirable.
2.
The candidate’s track record of
past accomplishments.
3.
The candidate’s time needed for
completing the work.
4.
The candidate’s exceptional
creativity in the choice of topic he/she has taken up.
