Inlaks Research Travel Grants for Indian Students

The Inlaks research foundation is offering research travel grants for the registered PhD students of Indian universities for the short-term visits to the universities abroad. The Inlaks shivdasani foundation has been supporting and assisting innovative research level people and scholarships from the past three decades. The Inlaks research travel grant is geared to assist registered PhD, the students of Indian universities to take part in short-term visits to the abroad universities.   

Study subjects

The grant is provided to the students for the research level in the study subjects of humanities and social sciences.

The research travel grants are for pursuing research level. 

Scholarship Provider

The scholarship is provided by the Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation scholarship.

The scholarship can be taken at various universities abroad. 

Eligibility criteria

The candidate has to satisfy the eligibility criteria for the above mentioned scholarship. 

1.      The applicant must have confirmed PhD registration for at least two years but for not more than four years.

2.      The candidate should have a first class degree at either Bachelor’s (Honors) or Master’s level, preferably both.

3.      The candidate should be under 35 years of age on 31 December in the year of applying. 

Scholarship Open for International students

The Indian students are eligible for the short-term visits to the abroad universities. 

Duration of awards

The duration of the research grant is three months to the universities/institution/library abroad. 

 Scholarship coverage

The scholarship covers the discounted airfare, maintenance allowance at a modest rate, funds for buying material, and books, and making copies of the relevant literature.   

Selection criteria

The selection criteria are given below. The candidates are expected to go through two-tier selection procedure. 

First round: the short listing on the basis of the written record submitted so far by the candidate.

Second round/Final round: The personal round of interview for the shortlisted candidates.  

Notification

The candidates will be informed about the results for the interview by the end of November. The final round of interviews will be held during the month of November.
