JRF/SRF Positions at Centre of Biomedical Magnetic Resonance (CBMR) in India

Introduction to the scholarship
 
The centre of biomedical magnetic resonance is pleased to invite applications for the research positions (JRF/SRF). The positions are offered to the Indian students who have studied their studies in Physics/Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Life-sciences and are interested in pursuing their research in the inter-disciplinary fields of study. The applicants should have master’s degree in Science/M.Tech/MBBS with good academic record and should have been CSIR/UGC-JRF, ICMR-JRF, DBT-JRF qualified. The applications should be sent before the deadline. 
 
These positions are open to only Indian candidates alone. The applications are to be sent to the centre of biomedical magnetic resonance centre in India.  


Scholarship Provider

The scholarships are provided by the Centre of Biomedical Magnetic Resonance (CBMR).  

The centre was started in the year 1999 and was established as a unit of Sanjay Gandhi post graduate institute of medical science to have a lasting relationship with the clinical scientists. To fully exploit the potentials in the area of science and produced seven noble laureates till date. The centre has achieved its objectives to carry out research in multidisciplinary areas and aspects of magnetic resonance. 

The government has decided to develop itself as an autonomous institution of the Government of Uttar Pradesh with its management council and own governing council. The research so far at CBMR has involved in solving complex biological problems which pertain to human healthcare. All the techniques involved have proven the most powerful and most versatile spectroscopic tools for the biomedical research till date.         
  
Scholarship duration

The fellowship is to pursue research level positions such as JRF/SRF. The duration of the fellowship may be for two years for both the positions. 

Scholarship coverage

The fellowship covers the candidate who has applied for a JRF position is 16,000 plus HRA for a JRF fellow and 18,000 plus HRA for a SRF fellow.  

Eligibility criteria

The candidate has to satisfy the eligibility criteria for the above mentioned fellowships. 

1.       The candidate should have obtained master’s degree in science/M.Tech/MBBS with a good academic record.
2.       The candidate is preferred to have CSIR/UGC- JRF, ICMR-JRF, and DBT-JRF qualified.

Selection

The selection criteria for the above mentioned position is given as follows.

1.       Evaluation of the applicant’s CV
2.       Interview process with proof of knowledge and research interest will also be screened.
